Does Target Ship Internationally?
No, Target doesn’t ship internationally. Despite a 2015 partnership that briefly let Target.com deliver to a handful of countries, that program was discontinued, and today Target’s shipping is US-only, including Puerto Rico. Wherever you’re ordering from outside the US, the same answer applies, there’s no direct international checkout option on Target’s site.
Why Doesn’t Target Ship Internationally?
Target is one of the biggest retailers in the US, known for its mix of exclusive designer collaborations, own-label lines, and reliable everyday basics across fashion, home, beauty, electronics, and toys. That scale is part of the reason international shipping has stayed off the table, managing customs, duties, and carrier logistics across dozens of countries and a catalog that broad is a genuinely different operation than shipping within one country, and Target has chosen to keep its focus domestic rather than take that on.
This is exactly why so many shoppers outside the US, wherever they happen to be, end up looking for a workaround once they discover a Target-exclusive item they can’t get anywhere else.
How to Get Target Items Shipped Anywhere Outside the US?
Since Target won’t ship internationally itself, the way around this is a US forwarding address, and this works the same way regardless of which country you’re actually in. You use the US address at checkout instead of your own, Target ships the order there exactly as it would for any other US customer, and the forwarding service sends it on to you afterward, wherever that happens to be.
Beyond just making the order possible, this also gets you Target’s full US catalog and pricing, including exclusive collaborations and own-label products that aren’t sold anywhere else.
Atvido will soon offer exactly this. Alongside our existing UK and German addresses, we’re launching a dedicated US address, so you’ll be able to shop Target, and any other US-only retailer, no matter which country you’re shipping to. There’s no exact launch date yet, but it’s coming soon. Sign up for early access and we’ll let you know the moment US addresses go live.
How Much Does It Cost to Ship Target Internationally?
There’s no single flat number here, the total depends on what you’re buying, where you’re shipping to, and how you ship it, but it breaks down into a few predictable parts:
- The Target product price itself
- Any US delivery fee, if you don’t hit Target’s free shipping threshold
- Atvido’s forwarding and consolidation costs
- The international shipping leg from the US to your country
- Any customs duties that apply once your package reaches you, which vary significantly by country
Combining multiple items into a single shipment is where the real savings show up, since you’re paying that international leg once instead of per item. This matters even more when you’re shipping further from the US, since the shipping cost itself is often the single biggest factor in whether ordering from Target makes sense at all, worth weighing against the price and availability of the item locally before you commit.
How Long Does It Take to Get a Target Order Internationally?
Think of it as two separate legs rather than one shipment. First, Target delivers to your Atvido US address, the same as it would for any US customer. Then, once it’s arrived and been checked in, Atvido ships it on to your actual address, wherever that is, and that leg’s timing depends on both the courier and speed you choose and how far you’re shipping.
Total time end to end depends heavily on where you’re actually shipping to, since the distance from the US, the courier options available in your country, and local customs processing all vary. Expedited couriers can cut things down if you need something quickly, but standard shipping to a more distant destination will naturally take longer than it would somewhere closer to the US. Checking Atvido’s current transit estimates for your specific country at the time you ship gives you the most accurate picture, rather than assuming a single fixed delivery window.
Alternatives to Ordering Target Internationally
A US forwarding address is the most direct route, but a few other options exist depending on what you’re after:
Checking if the brand is sold locally. Target carries a lot of third-party and licensed brands alongside its own-label lines, some of those brands are also sold through retailers in your own country, worth checking before assuming forwarding is necessary.
Secondhand and resale platforms. Target-exclusive items, especially designer collaborations and seasonal drops, do show up on eBay and similar platforms, sold by people who bought them in the US directly. Availability is unpredictable, but it’s worth checking for specific pieces.
Asking someone in the US to buy and post it on. For a smaller, one-off order, having a US-based contact purchase and mail the item directly is often simpler than setting up a forwarding account for a single piece.
