Does Walmart Ship to the UK?
Not yet, but this one comes with a twist the other US retailers don’t have: Walmart has just started rolling out international shipping for the first time. As of April 2026, Walmart.com began delivering to Canada and Mexico, with the company saying more countries are on the way. The UK isn’t on the list yet, so for now, ordering directly from Walmart.com and having it land in the UK still isn’t possible. It’s worth knowing this is a live, moving situation rather than a settled policy, though.
Why Doesn’t Walmart Ship to the UK (Yet)?
Walmart is a different scale of retailer than most of the names people ask this question about. It’s not just clothing, but groceries, electronics, toys, home goods, and essentially anything else a US household might buy in one trip. Historically, that scale is exactly why international shipping has been complicated: warehousing, customs, and product restrictions vary hugely across a catalog that broad, which is a much harder problem to solve than a clothing brand expanding overseas.
That appears to be changing. Walmart’s own shipping page confirms Canada and Mexico are now supported, framed explicitly as a first step rather than the finished rollout. There’s no confirmed timeline for the UK specifically, but the direction is clear enough that it’s a reasonable one to keep an eye on if this has been a long-standing frustration.
How to Shop Walmart from the UK Right Now
Until UK shipping is added, the practical route is the same one that’s long worked for other US-only retailers: a US shipping address. You sign up for one, use it in place of your own address when you check out on Walmart.com, and once your order lands at that US address, it gets forwarded on to you in the UK. Walmart ships to these addresses the same as it would to any other US customer, so there’s nothing unusual happening on Walmart’s end, the forwarding step happens entirely after your order’s already been placed.
Beyond just making Walmart accessible in the first place, this route also opens up Walmart’s full US range and pricing, including products and deals that simply aren’t listed on international marketplaces. If you’re ordering more than one thing, most services in this space let you combine multiple orders into a single international shipment too, which tends to work out cheaper than shipping each one separately.
Atvido will soon offer exactly this route. Alongside our existing UK and German addresses, we’re launching a dedicated US address, so as soon as it’s live, you’ll be able to shop Walmart (and any other US-only retailer) the same way you already can with UK and EU stores through Atvido: check out with your Atvido address, and we’ll handle getting it to you, with the same consolidation and photo-verified package inspection as every other order. There’s no exact launch date yet, but it’s close. Sign up for early access and we’ll notify you the moment US addresses are live.
Alternatives to Ordering Walmart in the UK
If you’d rather not wait for Walmart to add UK shipping (or for Atvido’s US address to launch), a few other routes are worth knowing about, each with its own trade-offs:
Existing US parcel forwarding services. Several providers already offer US addresses today, so if you need something from Walmart right now rather than once Atvido’s US service is live, this is the most direct option in the meantime.
Checking Walmart’s marketplace sellers individually. Some third-party sellers on Walmart’s marketplace do ship internationally, separately from Walmart’s own official policy. It’s inconsistent and needs checking on a per-listing basis, but occasionally worth a look for a specific item.
Secondhand marketplaces. Walmart-exclusive products sometimes turn up on platforms like eBay UK, particularly electronics and toys, sold by people who bought them in the US directly. Availability is unpredictable, but it’s a legitimate route for specific items.
Asking someone in the US to buy and post it on. For a one-off order, having a US-based contact buy the item and either mail it directly or forward it once it’s arrived is often the simplest workaround.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy from Walmart and have it shipped to the UK?
Not directly through Walmart.com yet, since UK delivery isn’t part of its current international rollout. A US shipping address, used via a package forwarding service, is currently the way to get around this.
Is Walmart the same as Asda in the UK?
Walmart previously owned Asda and the two shared some sourcing and branding influence for years, but Walmart sold its stake in Asda in 2021. They’re now separate companies, and Asda doesn’t carry Walmart’s US-specific product range.
Will Walmart ship to the UK eventually?
There’s no confirmed date, but Walmart has explicitly said more countries are coming after its initial Canada and Mexico rollout, so it’s a realistic possibility rather than something ruled out. Worth checking back periodically if this matters to you.
Does Walmart ship to package forwarding addresses?
Yes, Walmart treats a US forwarding address the same as any other US delivery address, since from its side, the order is simply shipping domestically. The international leg happens after the forwarding service receives it.
